About the app

TalkScenes supports learning across 12 languages with practical sentences, dialogues, branching conversations, audio playback, favorites, search, and random practice. Choose your learning target and your interface and translation language in Settings. Version 1.1.0 includes 650 lessons and more than 11,000 practice sentences. Start with 128 free lessons, including all 35 Foundations lessons. The skippable Getting Started guide can be reopened in Settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

TalkScenes offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock the full scene library and premium practice features. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings. If you already purchased a subscription, use Restore Purchases in the app Settings.

Audio downloads

All 12 audio packs, including English, are optional downloads available to free and subscribed users. Settings shows each pack's download size. Without a downloaded pack, the app uses Apple's system text-to-speech; available voices depend on your device. Downloaded recordings can be used offline.

For a failed download, check your connection and available storage, then tap Retry. If a download has finished but installation was interrupted, reopening the app resumes installation from the saved download. Keep the app open while retrying if installation repeatedly stops. Removing a downloaded pack does not delete your progress or favorites.

Troubleshooting

If audio does not play, check the device volume and silent mode, then try reopening the app. If premium content does not unlock after purchase, open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Include your device model, iOS version, and a short description if you contact support.

Privacy

The app does not require an account and stores learning progress, favorites, and preferences locally on your device. Read the complete Privacy Policy.
