TalkScenes Privacy Policy

Overview

TalkScenes, provided by cdstudio, is a language-learning app for practice across 12 languages. This policy covers the app and this website. No account registration is required to use the app.

Learning data and device permissions

Learning progress, favorites, language choices, and app settings are stored on your device. We do not upload your learning history or favorites to our servers. The app and its widget share the local data needed to display learning content.

The app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics, and does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, or location. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising tracking.

Audio packs and network requests

High-quality audio packs, including English, can be downloaded when you choose. The app also checks a language-pack catalog for available versions and download sizes. These requests use Cloudflare-hosted storage and delivery services.

To deliver files and protect the service, the delivery provider processes necessary connection information, such as your IP address, request time, requested file or catalog address, and standard network headers. Requests can indicate which language pack is being downloaded; they do not include your favorites or learning history. Operational and security logs may be retained by the provider under its policies.

Downloaded audio is stored on your device and can be played offline. You can remove downloaded packs in Settings. When a recording is unavailable, the app uses Apple's system text-to-speech. The app does not send your voice or practice recordings to an AI service.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchase restoration are handled by Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. Purchase management is provided through your Apple ID and App Store settings.

The app reads the subscription status and transaction information supplied by Apple to unlock purchased features. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple processes purchases according to its privacy policy.

Website and service providers

This website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare. Hosting and security providers process the technical request information needed to serve pages and prevent abuse. Cloudflare may set necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm; these are not advertising cookies.

Provider information is available in the Cloudflare privacy policy, and Cloudflare cookie documentation. Their infrastructure may process connection information outside your country.

Support, retention, and your choices

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond and resolve your request, and retain it only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

You can delete favorites and downloaded packs in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data; any device backups are managed through your Apple settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription. You can manage subscriptions through your Apple account.

Contact us to ask about, access, correct, or request deletion of information you have provided to us, or to exercise any other privacy rights available where you live. We cannot access learning data that remains only on your device.

Children

TalkScenes is a general language-learning app. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The updated version will be posted on this page.
